A single mother from Kazakhstan and her nine year old daughter were the victims of a dawn raid by the home office in the whitevale flats in dennistoun, glasgow. Yelena was taken with her daughter, Kirya aged 9, to Dungavel detention centre. We are working with lawyers and the family to try and get them released.
Good news is that the wife and 3 children of the Turkish family taken last week have been released from Dungavel, and are back home in Glasgow. The husband,Cengiz, is still in detention, but we are hopeful he will be back home soon. Info from
